About Us

Our family history in the elevator industry began in 1972. Young Elevator began manufacturing custom cab interiors in 1995. John joined the family business in 2008 and completed the IUEC NEIEP apprenticeship in 2013. Young Elevator Inc. has been expanded to combine John’s expertise in both interior manufacturing and the mechanical aspects of elevators to create a one-stop-shop for all elevator needs.

At Young Elevator Inc., we proudly serve the entire Treasure Valley region, including the cities of Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Nampa, and Caldwell.

Tradition And Experience

Our family history in the elevator industry began in 1972 when Richard Young worked as a mechanic at Westinghouse Elevator. In 1995 Richard and his wife Ruth saw a need for custom elevator interiors and began manufacturing top-quality, hand-crafted cabs. Examples of our work can be found in major cities across the U.S. including, San Francisco, Sacramento, Denver, Portland, and Seattle.

Growth

Son-in-law, John, joined Richard in 2008 to further expand the manufacturing of custom interiors. John joined the International Union of Elevator Constructors in 2013 to further his knowledge of elevators to include all mechanical aspects of the industry. Upon Richards retirement, his daughter Kristie had a passion to expand the family business and combine her husband John’s expertise in both the interior manufacturing and mechanical servicing of elevators to create a one-stop-shop for all elevator needs. It is our goal to be an example of hard work and dedication for our four children and carry on the family name.
